Spanish Rice Seasoning
A flavorful blend of garlic, onion, and Mexican spices, Bolner’s Fiesta Brand Spanish Rice Seasoning yields perfectly tender Spanish rice each and every time.
Though the name of this dish may suggest otherwise, Spanish rice did not originate in Spain. This dish is popular throughout the American Southwest and likely has origins in Mexican cuisine, though the name “Spanish rice” is not used by Mexicans or enthusiasts of Mexican cuisine. Spanish rice is a side dish made from cooked white rice, tomatoes, onions, and garlic seasoned with various Mexican spices. This dish is traditionally prepared in a heavy skillet and sautéed until golden brown. After the rice is browned, water or chicken broth is added along with tomato sauce to make it tender. If you are craving the authentic flavor of Spanish rice but don’t live close to the border, try Bolner’s Fiesta Brand Spanish Rice Seasoning.
